Broker vs. Banker

When you work with a broker, the client has access to many different banks’ rates to choose from. When you work with a banker, you are largely limited to the rate that particular bank has to offer. Brokers benefit consumers by giving them more choices when it comes to interest rates and fees.

We have access to Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loan programs as well as Down Payment Assistant Programs (for example, Chenoa Fund) specific to Utah buyers. Every loan we fund is chosen carefully and catered to the specific needs of each client.

Today, everything is done with technology. If you’re not up to speed, you’re out of the game. At HQL, we embrace technology (e-signing, online doc uploads) as a necessity. However, we don’t automate the relationship that exists between us and our clients. Sometimes, you just need to have a sit-down meeting with a real live, breathing human being and have a candid discussion about your finances and how that applies to which loan product best suites your needs.
